poet Mr. AKM Rais Uddin was born in Durgapur village of Dighali Union. He is an educated man. Among his books of poetry is Thirsty Bangladesh, Janani Janma Bhumi Kotha which is currently on the market. During his student life, he was quite involved in sports and drama. Apart from this, most of the people of the village make a living by farming, raising cattle, cows, goats, buffaloes and poultry, and cultivating vegetables. NGO-government jobs, a small number of villagers working abroad without teaching. There is no industrial factory. There are some poultry farms, fish farming and limited business trade. Population explosion, lack of technical-general education, unemployment and poverty are terrible. It is still lagging far behind other towns in the country in terms of education and education. The villagers have unshakable faith and deep faith in the religious discipline. The people of the Hindu community are living in harmony with the majority Muslim people in communal harmony.
